new inventory

So, last week was special. Although we have way too much good vintage in the shop now, and the racks are full and all our store hangers are used, I managed to find about 150 wonderful pieces of female clothes that I am cleaning and ironing and mending. One estate of goodies are dresses and skirts that were all home made , tailored and sewn beautifully! Neat, polished sewing skills by an accomplished homemaker, they all date to around 1950. Cotton dresses and suits, detailed and neatly patterned, and measuring about a modern size 6.
The second estate of goodies dates to the 1970s. I easily recognize these because they are from “my prime” and they consist of cottons and polyesters. Cute boho styles. I found that some of these look great worn with little short jackets from the first estate. Mixing is key in vintage dressing. Mix it up and make it uniquely yours.
